RZD Logistics dispatched the first container train with sulphate wood pulp to Aprin Dry Port in Iran
This dispatch marks an important stage of logistics services’ development along the International North-South Transport Corridor.
The train consisting of 62 40-feet containers with sulphate wood pulp departed from the Northern Railway and followed the Eastern route of the INSTC, arriving at Aprin Dry Port (Iran). The transit time was 13 days.
The train shipment to Aprin has logically extended the systematic work of RZD Logistics on the development and promotion of complex logistics solutions in the framework of the INSTC. Being an operator nominated by the RZD Holding along this corridor, the company is actively developing its Eastern route, which goes through the territory of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, providing direct railway connection with Iran.
“This dispatch is a part of practical implementation of our strategic course at new logistics routes’ formation and testing, along with the development of regular services based on the INSTC, – noted CEO of RZD Logistics Oleg Poleev. – We see clients’ rising interest to this route and are willing to offer them reliable and high-tech solutions in export, import and transit directions”.
Aprin is a modern multimodal logistics hub, located at the crossroads of Iran's North-South and East-West railway corridors. This Iran’s largest logistics project has been launched recently, in May of 2025, but it is already gradually reaching planned capacity rate.
