Environmental safety
RZD Logistics adheres to the "green" logistics concept and is focused on optimising logistics costs and reducing environmental damage as much as possible.
One of the key areas in this area is the development of environmentally friendly rail transport. Today it is considered one of the most environmentally friendly compared to road and air transport.
According to various sources, every year more than 10 million tons of carbon monoxide, about 2 million tons of nitrogen oxides, more than 300 thousand tons of sulphur oxides and 50 thousand tons of soot and other harmful components are emitted into the atmosphere by motor vehicles in Russia. At the same time, the overall situation on Russian highways also has a negative impact on the environment - congestion on key highways and congestion at border crossings.
That is why RZD Logistics is working on transferring part of the freight traffic to railways. According to experts, an increase in the share of railway transportation, even by 1%, would significantly improve the situation on highways and have a positive impact on the environment.
Social responsibility
RZD Logistics takes care of the well-being and increased physical activity of its employees. The company provides them with the opportunity to obtain supplementary health insurance and engage in active sports such as football and volleyball. In 2017, VHI services are provided by Soglasiye.
