RZD Logistics for the first time dispatched containers from the Kuibyshev Railway along the Western branch of the INSTC
JSC RZD Logistics organized a test shipment of 40-feet containers with polymers for one of the largest chemical companies of Samara region.
The cargo will follow multimodal route, which includes Western direction of the International North-South Corridor and sea leg to Indian ports Hazira and Nhava Sheva.
Test shipment will help to evaluate in practice advantages and opportunities of this transport solution for further development of export shipments. In case of success, the client company will consider this route for regular transportation of its products to Indian market with possible volume 1-2 container trains per month.
“Today we see objective preconditions for reorientation of part of export flow from sea to railway due to the fact that it is faster and safer. In the process of further development of the service along the INSTC and expansion of import cargo flow this route can become economically more beneficial”, – noted the director of RZD Logistics branch in Samara Alexander Belnitskiy.
