JSC RZD Logistics announces the launch of scheduled departures of an export train from Vorsino terminal (Kaluga region, Russia) to Chengdu (China). Russian goods will be sent to China each Friday at 9 p.m.
The solemn ceremony of first departure was organized as to coincide with the official visit of a Chinese delegation from Chengdu, which consisted of government authorities and business representatives. The train will run across the circular route Vorsino-Chengdu-Vorsino through the border point Zamyn-Uud (Mongolia). The next train will depart on November 17th and will shuttle on a weekly basis.
The rail service itself is provided in the framework of the Russian Export Center’s project on the support of non-recourse export oriented companies while cargo transportation from Russia to China. As a supporting measure, the government partly covers Russian exporters’ transport expenses. The service has been in operation since April 5th, 2017.
